Takin’ the day off
It’s monday, and I don’t have to go to work.
Neener, needer, neeeeener!!
I took the day off to drive my eldest son down to the college so he can buy books. Well… I’m actually buying the books, but they’re for him. He got accepted in the Running Start program at his high school, so he’ll do his last two years at the community college instead. It’s a pretty good deal… two years of tuition free college, and he’ll graduate with an A.A. when his friends graduate with a high school diploma.
If he screws this up, I’ll kill him.
Well you are going to want to shit when you buy his books. He needs 6. I have 4 of the 6 and it costed us $240 with two used.
1We got 3 out of the 6.. guess we missed some.
I knew it was going to be expensive (I was a college student not that long ago). We were able to get two of the books used (no highlighting, good spine), so that saved a few bucks.
We’ll go back in a couple weeks and pick up the rest.
2Yeah suppposedly you can look at what books they have in on their websites. The books with N/A as a price are not in the library.
3Yeah, wait till he’s in the upper division… I have 6 books and the total was $743.82 (used!). My problem is we get custom bundles. So, at least two books a semeter will come with an Academic version of a required software. I spent 185 on two books for my Java class and the advisor said I had to buy them new because it came with required software. Turns out the software was the JBuilder Foundation 2005 (A FREE DOWNLOAD).
