Dead horse time!
October 26th, 2004I’m pretty sure I’ve given my opinion of working the graveyard shift once or twice in the past.
Lets recap for those who haven’t been following along: I HATE THE DAMN GRAVEYARD SHIFT!
There… now I feel better.
Unfortunately, we’re short-staffed as heck at the moment. One person had to fly to California, another to Minnesota, and a third is out with an injury (a nasty one too!). That’s half of our team. So… I’m working graveyard tonight and tomorrow night (which is… well… tonight… kinda). Yay!
On a side note, working graveyard has taught me several valuable skills. One is how to make your own espresso shot. Here’s the recipe:
- 2oz hot water
- 6 rounded teaspoons of instant coffee
Carefully stir coffee into water, one teaspoon at a time and enjoy!
It also makes an excellent caffeinated syrup.
Today’s game plan:
Go home, sleep, wake up, repeat.
