It’s 3am eternal

I was just outside the building having a smoke, when I saw two sheriffs go racing up Sullivan Road at about 80mph (129kph). The speed limit is 35mph (56kph). I guess the Krispy Kreme must have a fresh batch of donuts coming off the line.

I’ve also been working on the site, trying to get Netscrape to view it properly so that Asa can stare at it in it’s full glory. He’s running a unix system, making IE pretty much out of the question (damn penguin heads!). He had done some research and found that the <html xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xmlns/”> line in the code didn’t seem to work, but by pointing it to the newer version <html xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/2000/xmlns/”> it did (on his machine at least).

I guess I’ll find out in the morning if this will do the trick.

In other news, I’ve been busy attempting to fulfill my BSC (“Balanced Score Card” or “Big Sack of Crap”, your choice) items for this year. I’ve been tasked with making a marketing style display for our group, showing the rest of the company what it is that we do (a lot of people have no idea because we’re part think-tank, part implementation, part everything else). If you’re bored and want to see a low res example, click here for an image in a new window (68k jpg). There may be typos in that.

T-minus 6 working days till I’m off nights and back onto days. I may have to request a few extra days off to allow my body to recalibrate itself after staying awake from 10 pm till about noon every day for 4 weeks. Such are the joys of life.
